"A lecture on my face" performance (40 min)

"In May 2000, the London police called and asked me if I knew Josef Kramhöller... they couldn't tell me on the phone what had happened... I waited for them for 20 minutes. With the unsepakable fright of having to face the worst, i went to the bathroom and tried to find "confort" by looking at myself. For years I hade sung, written and painted that I didn't exist...and at the same time I had filmed hundreds of self portraits... when the police arrived they told me "we are afaid Josef is dead". Based on this experience of "schizoprenic negative existence" in confrontation with the death of ones love, this piece also deals with beauty, ugliness... The last 10 minutes show Josef Kramhöller dancing for the launch of his book "Genuss, Luxus, Still".
